Privacy Policy
Compliant with Republic Act No. 10173 (Data Privacy Act of 2012). Last updated: October 2026.
The short version
Pinas.cc is a static website. We do not have user accounts, and we do not run a server that stores your personal data. What little state exists lives in your own browser.
What is stored on your device
- Saved articles (bookmarks) — stored in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device and are deleted when you clear site data.
- Newsletter interest email — if you enter an email in the Pinas Daily box, it is saved to this device's local storage only. No email is transmitted to us until the digest launches with a proper double opt-in flow.
What we do not collect
- No accounts, passwords, or government IDs.
- No server-side analytics or advertising trackers.
- No sale or sharing of personal data with third parties.
Hosting & logs
The site is served by Firebase Hosting's global CDN. Like all web servers, CDN infrastructure processes IP addresses and request metadata transiently to deliver pages; these operational logs are governed by Google's/Firebase's data practices.
Your rights
Under the Data Privacy Act you may request access to, correction of, or erasure of personal data we hold. Because we hold none on a server, the practical remedy is clearing your browser's site data for pinas.cc. Questions: corrections@pinas.cc.
